About

I’m an Australian communications professional with experience across traditional and new media. When I’m not blogging or engaging with media and communications, I’m outside riding my bike and enjoying a good coffee. Biography

I began my communications career as PR Manager – Regional for Southern Cross Austereo, where I
managed both internal and external communications for the group’s regional radio and television networks, and worked across corporate social media. In February 2011, I commenced as the Australian correspondent for Engage TV- interviewing and engaging with public relations and communications professionals about social media, public relations and communications. More recently, in July 2011 I began writing about the same topics as part of the blogging team at Shonali Burke‘s Waxing UnLyrical, and recently sat on the board of IABC Victoria as the Member Communications Chair – working across the association’s website and social media accounts.

While studying my Masters in Public Relations and Corporate Communications, I concurrently undertook the role of Program Coordinator in Communications at Bond University’s Centre for Executive Education, and completed internships and work experience roles with BBS Public Relations (Brisbane), Professional Public Relations (Melbourne) and Undertow Media. I earlier graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communications from The University of Melbourne.

My professional interests include social media, community management, corporate communications and reputation management, media relations, corporate and public affairs, media, crisis communication and issues management.
